What it does

You give it a picture; it gives you the same picture reduced to its outlines — black lines on white paper, laid out on A4 or US Letter and ready to print. That is the whole product. There is no image library to browse, no generator to prompt, and no gallery of other people's work.

The narrowness is deliberate. Doing one transformation well, locally, makes it possible to guarantee something most tools in this category cannot: that your picture stays on your own machine.

What you can control

  • Detail

    Low, Medium, or High. Sets how strong a boundary must be before it becomes a line. The threshold adapts to each image, so the setting behaves consistently across different photographs.

  • Line thickness

    Thin, Medium, or Thick — specified as 0.35, 0.6, and 1 mm on the printed page, so the physical result is the same regardless of image resolution.

  • Style

    Outline traces clean, closed boundaries. Sketch keeps more interior shading and reads as hand-drawn, which suits portraits and textured subjects.

  • Page and format

    A4 or US Letter, portrait, landscape, or automatic. Download as a print-ready PDF or as a PNG for placing into your own documents.

How it differs from other coloring page tools

Against upload-based converters: the practical difference is where your picture goes. Those tools require it to reach their server; this one has no server to reach. If you are converting photographs of your own children, that distinction is the entire point.

Against AI image generators: a generator invents a new picture from a description. This traces the picture you already have. When you want a coloring page of your specific dog rather than a plausible dog, tracing is the operation you actually want — and it is instant, free, and deterministic, which generation is not.

Against printable libraries: a library gives you someone else's artwork, cleanly drawn and ready to go. That is often the better choice for a generic subject. This tool is for the case where the subject is yours and no library has it.

What it does not do

Worth stating plainly, so you can decide quickly whether it fits:

  • It does not save your work. Close the tab and the image, the preview, and the settings are gone.
  • It does not convert several images at once, and it does not combine multiple pages into one PDF.
  • It does not redraw or stylise a photograph the way an illustrator would. It traces edges, which is a different and much more literal operation.
