A closer look at Monster Truck Big Wheels
A monster truck at the top of its jump, all four oversized tyres clear of the ground, coming down onto two flattened cars whose roofs have already caved in. Debris and dust flick out around the impact.
565 areas, and the tyre treads carry most of them — deep chevron blocks all the way round each wheel. Those are worth doing properly, because the tread is what makes the tyres read as huge. The crushed cars underneath are drawn buckled, so their panel shapes are irregular.
Give the truck one bold colour and the two wrecks something duller, or the pile-up turns into a puzzle. Charcoal tyres with a sand tread, and leaving the debris white keeps the sense of dust rather than adding a fourth colour to the crash.
