Princess Close-Up Portrait: Detailed portrait of a smiling princess with braided hair and flowers. Black outlines on a white background, ready to print and colour.

Princess Close-Up Portrait coloring page

Detailed portrait of a smiling princess with braided hair and flowers. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.

The line work is intricate, so fine-tip pens or sharp coloured pencils get the most out of it. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 1893 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at Princess Close-Up Portrait

A close portrait, realistically drawn rather than stylised: a young woman smiling straight out of the page, her hair in thick braids with roses and lilies woven through them, wearing an embroidered high-necked bodice.

1,893 areas, and the braids carry most of them — each plait is drawn strand over strand, and the embroidery on the bodice is a dense field of small florals. Unlike the rest of this collection there is no gown, no castle and no props: it is a face and a pattern.

A realistic face needs restraint — the lightest sand or blush on the skin with a slightly deeper tone in the shadows, and nothing stronger. Then the braids and the bodice embroidery can go as rich as you like; the contrast between a quiet face and an ornate frame is the drawing's whole idea.

Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.

Colour Princess Close-Up Portrait in your browser

Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.

On a phone or tablet, open Princess Close-Up Portrait in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
