A closer look at Santa's Workshop Elf

165 areas and mostly generous ones. The shelf of toys is where the sheet earns its time: a dozen small objects, each of which can take a different colour, and together they make the workshop look busy. The elf himself is only a handful of shapes.

Traditional elf is ivy green and crimson with a sand face and a butter-blond fringe. Let the toys on the shelf break out of that scheme entirely — the point of a workshop is that everything in it is a different colour.
