Night Sky Stargazing Observatory coloring page

Giant telescope dome pointed toward nebulas and meteor showers. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.

It mixes broad areas with finer detail, which works for school-age children and adults alike. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 267 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at Night Sky Stargazing Observatory

A domed observatory with a ribbed roof and an open slit stands on a low rise, its stepped door facing the reader and fir trees to either side. Above it a comet streaks down from the top right across a sky thick with dots and small stars.

267 areas. The star field is hundreds of individual dots — they are meant to be left white, which makes the sky the slow part rather than the stars. The comet's tail is drawn as a widening band of specks and is the most striking thing on the page.

A cream dome with slate ribs, dark firs, and a night sky in indigo worked darker towards the top. Leave every star and the comet white. One lit window or a warm glow at the door slit is the single detail that makes the building feel occupied.

Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.

Colour Night Sky Stargazing Observatory in your browser

Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.

On a phone or tablet, open Night Sky Stargazing Observatory in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
