Metamorphosis Journey coloring page
Story sheet showing a caterpillar, chrysalis, and emerging butterfly. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.
The shapes are large and open, so it suits younger children and fat crayons. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 39 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at Metamorphosis Journey
Three stages read left to right across the page: a smiling caterpillar humped along a leaf, a chrysalis hanging from a bare branch above it, and the finished butterfly below with its wings fully open. Nothing else is drawn, so the sequence is the whole sheet.
39 areas, and the only small ones are the caterpillar's segments. The thing to plan rather than discover is the colour relationship — the sheet stops being three drawings and becomes one story if the butterfly's wings repeat the caterpillar's body colour.
Grass green for the caterpillar, a sand or jade chrysalis, and wings that pick the same green up in their veins over an amber ground. Leaving the branch a plain cocoa keeps the eye on the three creatures rather than the scenery.
Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.
Colour Metamorphosis Journey in your browser
Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.
On a phone or tablet, open Metamorphosis Journey in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
