A closer look at Playful Jungle Monkeys

Five monkeys occupy a jungle canopy — two hanging by their arms from vines, one curled round a branch, two more peering out of the leaves. Broad tropical foliage, palm fronds and flowers fill the sheet corner to corner with no background showing at all.

963 areas and not one square centimetre of white space to rest in, which makes this the most relentless sheet in the collection. Colour the five monkeys first while you can still find them; once the foliage is in, their outlines disappear into it.

Give the monkeys chestnut and sand and keep every green away from them, or they vanish. In the leaves, alternate grass, olive and mint by leaf rather than by region — a uniform green turns 963 areas into one.
