Tall Giraffe in Sun coloring page

Graceful giraffe eating leaves with geometric spots to color. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.

The shapes are large and open, so it suits younger children and fat crayons. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 96 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at Tall Giraffe in Sun

A cartoon giraffe stretches its neck up into the round canopy of a tree to pull at the leaves, with a rayed sun in the top right, two small clouds, a low hill line and a bush at the foot of the tree.

The body patches are large, clearly separated and only 96 areas all told, so this is a straightforward one. The single fiddly spot is where the giraffe's muzzle overlaps the canopy — the leaves and the mouth share an outline there.

Amber body with cocoa patches, against a grass canopy and a butter sun. Because the giraffe's colours and the tree's are both warm, cooling the sky to a pale sky blue is what stops the top half of the sheet running together.

Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.

Colour Tall Giraffe in Sun in your browser

Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.

On a phone or tablet, open Tall Giraffe in Sun in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
