Baby Dinosaur Hatching coloring page

Cute baby dinosaur breaking out of an egg with friendly eyes. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.

The shapes are large and open, so it suits younger children and fat crayons. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 46 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at Baby Dinosaur Hatching

A round-cheeked hatchling sits up inside a broken egg with the top of the shell tipped over one eye like a cap. Two small hands grip the cracked rim, three blunt horns show above the smile, and chips of shell are still falling on either side.

At 46 areas this is among the most forgiving sheets here; the smallest shapes are the falling shell chips. The one place to slow down is the zigzag where shell meets body, which reads as a single jagged line until the two sides are coloured differently.

Mint or grass for the hatchling against a cream shell keeps the contrast up without going garish. Butter inside the shell suggests depth, and a blush cheek does more for the face than anything you can do to the eyes.

Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.

Colour Baby Dinosaur Hatching in your browser

Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.

On a phone or tablet, open Baby Dinosaur Hatching in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
