River Spinosaurus coloring page

Fierce Spinosaurus with a tall sail by a riverbank. It is drawn as clean black outlines on white and centred on an A4 page with a 12 mm margin, so your printer will not clip an edge.

The line work is intricate, so fine-tip pens or sharp coloured pencils get the most out of it. Colouring it in here splits the drawing into 2119 separate areas — click the bucket into any of them, or switch to the brush for shading that has no outline of its own.

A closer look at River Spinosaurus

A spinosaurus wades in shallow water with its tall spined sail catching the whole width of its back and its long crocodilian snout lowered towards the surface. Fish break the water in the foreground and a wall of palms and tree ferns fills the bank behind.

2,119 areas, and the sail is the one that rewards planning: the spines divide it into narrow wedges that look wrong unless they shade in sequence rather than at random. The water ripples are thin, closed slivers — easy to miss and easy to flood past.

Teal or ocean through the water with the sail in a contrasting warm — tangerine or amber — is what makes this sheet worth the effort, since the sail is the only part of the animal that can carry a strong colour without looking odd.

Print it at 100% rather than “Fit to page” — the 12 mm margin is already in the PDF. The printing guide covers paper weight, ink and the print-dialog settings that matter.

Colour River Spinosaurus in your browser

Pick a colour, then click inside any outlined area to flood it. The brush and eraser handle the parts that have no outline, and Undo goes back as far as you like. Everything happens on your device — the sheet is never uploaded, and your progress is remembered here so you can come back and finish.

On a phone or tablet, open River Spinosaurus in the studio — the same canvas with the page around it cleared away, so the sheet fills the screen. Your colours carry over either way.
